INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?

ADVENTURE
AFRICA

This is Africa. Every day is an adventure in this multifaceted culture, with a vibrant every-day-life in Kabwe.

MAKE A
DIFFERENCE

You are a part of the daily work of Life Trust. Your practical support enriches the lives of children and their families in the compounds of Kabwe.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Experience personal mentoring, growing together in faith, individual support  and  challenging for your gifts and interests.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?

As a volunteer at Life Trust, you become part of our every-day work, serving the people of Zambia. You will be placed in a ministry area according to your individual strengths and previous experience. The day-to-day in Kabwe consists of daily ministry work, discipleship training lessons, team events and lots of community. Volunteers are staying in a ladies' and a gents' flatshare that is secure and to western standards. Each volunteer takes care of their own fundraising to provide the funds needed for the year.

TIME FRAME

Every year, we offer an 11 month long volunteer "gap year" program, starting mid-September of every year and running to July or August. Because of the significant adjustment time needed both in order to get to know the culture and to get used to the daily work, we normally do not offer internships or volunteer positions for shorter time periods (exemptions for qualified individuals can be discussed).

YOUR YEAR IN  ZAMBIA

Since 2015, there has also been a Royal Rangers program in Kabwe, founded by Life Trust. Therefore, we are always happy to have short-term volunteers who are or were Rangers themselves and have a heart for the Royal Rangers programs.
